All Eight Colorways of the Louis Vuitton Nike Air Force 1 Friends & Family Revealed

Virgil Abloh was not a coward when it came to death. When confronted with cancer, he chose to create, in order to leave a more profound imprint on the worlds of sneakers and fashion. And while he may not be able to bask in it, praise has greeted the Off-White founder’s posthumous work — particularly the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 — with open arms.

Without Abloh, it’s possible that the collaboration would not have occurred at all. He effectively served as a mediator, bridging the two brands’ distinct yet similar iconic motifs. This is perhaps the most obvious of the pairs up for auction at Sotheby’s, as the classic silhouette takes on a construction and design more akin to the atelier’s monogram handbags. The palette, which was saturated with rich, dark browns and subtle yet luxurious natural accents, aided in this connection as well.

Despite its high bid price, even this pair pales in comparison to the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1’s F&F colorways, all of which have been spotted in the hands of the culture’s elite. Apart from their colorway differences, the colorways share a similar construction, with the LV monogram subtly debossed throughout the upper and Swoosh. Signature Off-White details such as the off-center tongue label, bright green tabs, and the quoted “AIR” text across the midsole/laces are also included.
