Allbirds and adidas Contribute to the Development of a Sustainable

If you’re familiar with adidas’ sustainable footwear, you’re probably familiar with the brand’s FUTURECRAFT.
Collaboration between FOOTPRINT and Allbirds. As the partners finalise details about the performance-running sneaker’s release schedule, they’ve unveiled the shoes in an unofficial multi-color style that’s sure to attract a broader audience to the eco-conscious movement.

adidas’ latest collaborative effort, which utilised at least 50% recycled material, pushed the boundaries of what is possible in terms of sustainability. The upper’s base is left un-dyed, but non-virgin thread reinforcement at the toe, mid-foot, and heel injects vibrant pops of red, orange, yellow, and green into the mix. The lateral mid-foot and sock liner feature co-branding, while the tongue and lateral midsole feature information about the sneaker’s astounding 2.94 kg CO2 emissions during production. Below, traction resembles some of adidas’ most promising running sneakers, while also equipping the Lightstrike and sugarcane-based SweetFoam® cushioning solution with the necessary tooling to help athletes achieve the same performance benefits they’re accustomed to from Allbirds and adidas.

Enjoy official images of the latest collaboration between Allbirds and the Three Stripes below, and keep an eye out for an launch in the second half of the year.
