Not only is the Nike LeBron 20 constructed to endure The King’s style of play, but it is also developed and curated for the next generation of basketball players. With his boys Bronny and Bryce breaking into the AAU circuit and establishing themselves as influencers and Top 100 players, the newest rendition of LeBron’s 20th distinctive silhouette pays reference to his oldest son’s favorite off-court activity: streaming video games.
As a devout Call of Duty player, Bronny James was the first high school athlete to sign with the Esports and gaming organization FaZe Clan in 2020, appearing alongside Kyler Murray and other members on the July 2021 Sports Illustrated cover depicting the new generation’s obsession with content creators streaming their first-person shooter matches.
Inspired by the group’s red and black color palette, the featured Nike LeBron 20 NXXT has a stitched black webbing over the model’s light grey base layer, while the pitch-black hue continues to treat the shoe’s laces and tongue, which features an embossed FaZe Clan logo. In contrast to prior designs, the once-darkened Swoosh now displays a scaled-down embroidered Check underneath the mainstay’s reflective silver emblem with crimson stitching. The tongue’s trim and semi-translucent tread are the only remaining red accents, while a pristine white Air Zoom sole unit completes the homage look.
The release date for the FaZe Clan x Nike LeBron 20 NXXT has not yet been announced, but in the meanwhile, please enjoy the first look at the shoe provided below.
