First Look At The Slam Jam x Nike Air Force 1

Slam Jam, founded by Luca Benini in 1989, is much more than a shop. Over the last decade, they have collaborated with several shoe labels, including Vans, New Balance, Salomon, and, of course, Nike. And after their Dunk High collaboration in 2020, Benini and colleagues are rejoining the Swoosh, this time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1.

Similar to their previous work with the company, Slam Jam’s Air Force 1 rendition resembles cut and screw. In both black and white colorways, the collaboration adds and modifies the essential architecture of the original. In addition to replacing the mid-panel with mesh — a nod to the shoe’s first appearance in 1982 — the perforated toe box, heel tab, and lace unit have been modified. The holes have been reorganized to form the Slam Jam emblem, the rear-positioned “Nike Air” has been inverted, and the laces have been given an extra set of entangled strings.

The Slam Jam x Nike Air Force 1 is anticipated to come before the end of the year. It has Slam Jam branding on the tongue and an all-over print sockliner. As we wait for further information, please see the official photographs below.
