Fresh off the takeover of a 7-Eleven location at 35 E. Wacker Dr. in Chicago, Joe Freshgoods has unveiled the follow-up to last year’s “No Emotions Are Emotions” project on the cover of “Sneaker Freaker” magazine’s 45th issue: a New Balance 990v3.
Part of a new endeavor titled “Outside Clothes,” the forthcoming New Balance collaboration is inspired by the west side of Chicago-native’s personal life growing up throughout the 1990s. Shades of brown are overlaid atop a rich blue mesh base, contrasting the New Balance 992 predecessor that launched during NBA All-Star Weekend 2020 (ranked fourth in our “Top 10 Sneakers of 2020” story). Profile “N” logos indulges in a brighter shade of blue, while branding on the tongue, lateral heel and spine don a stark green tone. Joe Freshgoods’ name is stamped at the rear, and sits right above an equally-vibrant ABZORB® technology. The remainder of the sole unit alternates between deep browns, blues and a sand-like hue towards the forefoot for another ensemble sure to win fans over.
