Kyrie Irving Pays Homage To His Standing Rock Tribe With The Nike Kyrie 8 “N7”

Kyrie Irving has been on a spiritual journey over the last several years, exploring and learning more about his Native American ancestry. The seven-time All-Star met and bonded with South Dakota’s Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, the same tribe his late mother was a member of, during his offseason travels and participation in their traditional practices and rituals.

After receiving our first look at the now-named Kyrie 8 during a private training session a few months ago, official images of the pair in its annual “N7” edition have been released, paying tribute to the Standing Rock Tribe Irving is now an official member of after receiving a ceremonial blanket at their administrative headquarters.

For the knowledge of “Seven Generations,” the most recent N7 design has a dominating usage of Dark Olive on the upper shroud, mudguard, and quarter overlay, which resembles a sliver of leather. Additionally, the mesh tongue structure and sock liner are color-matched, while the nearby laces and midsole unit give a stark white contrast. Contrary to previous designs, the midfoot Swoosh is slanted to match the upper’s sleek structure and has a dark maroon trim with a jade-colored glossy infill. Above, the perforated collar panel and tongue tab include light pistachio tones and are adorned with the Dakhotan-spelled name of Irving’s clan.

Enjoy these official photographs of the Kyrie 8 “N7” as we await news on the release of Irving’s eighth trademark shoe.

Paolo Banchero, the number one overall choice, has just signed with the Beaverton-based company Jordan Brand.
