New Balance Brings A Pre-Worn Look To The 2002R Gore-Tex

The New Balance 2002R has continued to compete the industry’s premier lifestyle cushioning styles with its timeless design and reluctance to stop developing and rebuilding the model for the many seasons. For its newest use of Gore-Tex materials as autumn weather approaches, the Boston-based business is equipping the 2002R with a range of weatherized panels that have been pre-used.

The bulk of the sneaker’s surface area is characterized by a worn-in appearance by means of gloomy grey suede overlays with a deep blue tinge and navy “GORE-TEX” marking on the mudguard. The remaining mesh structure reveals the blue undertone as the primary color in a sun-faded offering, with dark copper highlights providing rare touches to the forefoot’s leather overlays, eyestays, and tongue fastening completed in brushed suede. Underfoot, the murky color scheme continues with hazy gray shading over the midsole, while the white and midnight blue tread completes the worn appearance.

For a closer look at the purposely beaten-up 2002R “Magnet,” check out the official photographs of the pair provided below, as we await more release information on the Gore-Tex-clad variant in the coming weeks.
