During its 40th anniversary celebration, the Nike Air Force 1 Mid continues to diversify the Swoosh’s AF1-heavy palette in a manner that is far more selective than its low-top sibling. The most recent mid-cut silhouette echoes the “Tokyo ’03” colorway of the Air Trainer 1, which was inspired by the year that delivered the highly acclaimed Japanese-themed “Shima-Shima” pack.
Using simple two-toned color blocking throughout the upper, the model’s blank underfoot panels are rendered in a crisp white hue, while its overlays and midfoot strap are crafted from purple-dyed crocodile leathers and its midfoot checks and back tab are rendered in a smoother textile. In addition to the “Metallic Silver” hang tag with “Ghost Green” accents, analogous decorations cover the heel counter with an embossed “TYO 03” logo, as well as the silhouette’s “Ghost Green” accented “Metallic Silver” hang tag. Underfoot, the model concludes with a “Sail” sole unit, allowing the upper’s vibrant hues to take center stage.
In the meanwhile, official photographs of the Air Force 1 Mid LX “Tokyo Viotech” may be seen below as we await more information on a release date.
