The Swooshes sportswear branch has discovered an affection for the past during the brand’s 50th anniversary celebration, with the division’s “Color of the Month” line referencing the original 1984 construction of the Nike Air Force 1. The Nike Dunk High takes a journey down memory lane, recreating its OG 1985 construction, as it continues to increase its possibilities for one of its most highly coveted designs.
The later canvas structure of the ’85 model has been replaced with a selection of materials, including a suede mudguard and overlay, mesh collar, and leather base layer. This change was most recently applied in a “Arctic Orange” concept. The predominating leather vamp is filled with a maroon shade that extends to the midfoot Swooshes, while the midfoot panel and breathable ankle collar give chocolate brown tones. The tread culminates in the aforementioned dark crimson.
The release date for the Nike Dunk High ’85 “Alabaster” has not yet been announced, so in the meanwhile, please enjoy the photographs below.
In related news, the Jordan Zion 2 adopts a “Holographic” design.
