The adidas Response CL Is Reintroduced in a Crisp “White/Black” Colorway Prior to the Collaboration With Bad Bunny

The adidas Response CL, a product of the early 2000s, has become a go-to shoe for fans of the unstoppable “dad shoe” trend that gained traction a few years ago. Bad Bunny of Puerto Rico is set to release his own version of the adiPrene-cushioned sneakers, which will undoubtedly draw a lot of attention to the model, but before he does, the Three Stripes is outfitting the model in its own classic “White/Black” colorway.

A premium blend of nylon, mesh, leather, and suede creates a retro-inspired upper that feels “current” in today’s sneaker culture. The Profile 3-Stripes add a layer of glossy plastic to the mix, as well as a silver hue that pervades the sneaker’s hardware and other detailing. The adidas Originals design team appears to have drawn inspiration from some of their most iconic releases over the last seven decades when it came to the Response CL’s colour blocking, which features shades of white throughout the shoe and a prominent “Black” application towards and around the heel. Midsoles have a “aged” appearance and are paired with multi-colored Adiwear, Formotion, and Torsion technology beneath the foot.

Take a look at the pair’s official images below, and stay tuned for a quiet adidas.com launch in the coming weeks.
