The Nike Air Force 1 Low is certain to debut in limited-edition styles to commemorate its 40th anniversary. And, while partners such as Stussy have already revealed their interpretations of Bruce Kilgore’s silhouette, the Swoosh continues to tease additional in-line offerings as the celebration begins.
Kilgore’s made-for-basketball design was recently released in a low-top version with an all-“White” colour scheme and “Metallic Silver” accents throughout the upper. Numerous pairs of the model have previously featured a shimmering finish on the lace dubraes, but the newly-surfaced version retains some of the early aughts flair on the mid-foot and upper heel panels. Interrupting profile swooshes are devoid of metallic detailing in favour of a smooth “colourless” appearance, while branding on the tongue label and sock-liner depart from the Air Force 1‘s two-tone colorway in pitch-“Black.” Finally, sole units revert to the pure “White” tone that made Kilgore’s 1982 creation famous.
The brand has not announced a firm Nike.com release date, but that is likely to change as summer approaches. Meanwhile, take a look at official images of the pair ahead.
