The D. Rose 1.5 Flips Its 2011 All-Star Aesthetic

Derrick Rose, a 15-year NBA veteran who is driving the young movement inside The Mecca, is a long cry from his on-court domination in the early 2010s, but he continues to be a notable and influential player in the current NBA. The Three Stripes deems it time for the former MVP’s collection of iconic silhouettes to undergo the Restomod treatment, as they have served as a tribute to bravery and strength for over a decade.

Following an OG Bulls-scheme and a St. Patrick’s Day-inspired release, the next Adizero D. Rose 1.5 swaps the “Royal Blue” accents featured on the 2011 All-uniform Star’s for a more dominantly colored model.

The aforementioned primary hue has a glossy surface over the whole of the shoe, with the exception of the “Core Black” TPU window panels, sock lining, and accentuated mesh tongue. Nylon laces return to the abundant usage of blue, while the dubraes feature “Silver Metallic” highlights with Rose’s trademark and adizero heel counter lining. Underfoot, the model has been upgraded with a jet-black Lightstrike midsole that contrasts with the semi-opaque Puremotion outsole.

The D. Rose 1.5 Restomod “Royal Blue” is now available for $160 at the retailers listed below. Enjoy official photographs of the couple in the meantime.

In other news, the olive-colored New Balance 1906R is outfitted with weather-resistant Cordura tooling.
