From Nike SB Rayguns to Spongebob Squarepants, Kyrie Irving’s footwear models have been known to pull inspiration from a wide range of places, and for the next rendition of the Kyrie Low 2, the low-profile basketball sneaker inherits a familiar color scheme inspired by the classic Air Max Plus. First debuted at today’s NBA Media Day, the hoops-ready silhouette arrives with a full gradient mesh uppers doused in vibrant “Sunset” hues, and contrasted with stark black perforated midfoot overlays and punchy red Swoosh logos. In addition, this upcoming iteration further nods to the runner from the late 90s by flipping its customary “TN” heel badge for a specially-made “Kyrie Air” logo. If you’re looking to add these to your rotation, they will be sure to drop at Nike.com and likely select retailers on November 1st.
