Marcus Jordan and his Trophy Room team are finally presenting another collaboration on November 3rd: The Air Jordan 7 “New Sheriff in Town.”
Similar to the controversial and rumored back-doored Air Jordan 1 from February 2021, the following retro honors a different phase of Michael Jordan’s professional career. During the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, #9 reportedly informed Larry Bird and Earvin “Magic” Johnson Jr., “There’s a new sheriff in town.” The pair has been publicly introduced with a brief Western-inspired film. Even if he did not lead the time in scoring, the young Chicago Bulls guard became a global hero in the wake of the global event, and the rest is history.
There are differences between the upper of Trophy Room’s most recent Air Jordan and the “Olympic” 7s that Michael Jordan wore 30 years ago. Branding and other boutique-specific characteristics emerge over the story-driven pair, which can send the retro to the forefront of “Shoe of the Year” arguments.
The firms involved have not confirmed a Nike SNKRS release date, but the official Trophy Room Twitter account has recently stated that the shoes will be available in Men’s and Youth sizes. On Thursday, November 3, at 8 p.m., entries for an in-store raffle will be accepted. Winners will be selected by email on November 4, likely on Friday.
