As one of Nike’s most iconic silhouettes, it’s only fitting that the Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary be commemorated appropriately. Fortunately, that is precisely what is expected, as we will soon see not only collaborations with Stussy and Off-White, but also a slew of extremely bold GR offerings. The latest, which emphasises the shoe’s mid-top shape once more, takes the “Panda” colorway literally, redesigning the upper in the image of the animal.
Sherpa fleece is used to simulate fur throughout the construction, each time coloured a light cream to better resemble the beloved, bamboo-obsessed bear. Thus, a slightly darker, more saturated shade accents the lace unit, while the suede strap and overlays are finished in black, effectively completing the homage. Additionally, the dark neutral emphasises the two Swooshes, which alternate between a standard leather finish and a shinier jewel finish. And if the make-inspirations up’s aren’t obvious enough, the outsole features various pandas alongside Japanese text, basketballs, and a close-up image of what appears to be a stone Buddha.

Additionally, a University Blue Air Jordan 1 Low Golf is on the way.
